IMPACT …
is a ministry of First Church of God which with an emphasis on the community.
This ministry will give each person who is part of LFCG an opportunity to be involved helping those in need throughout our community or people inside our church family. This will include helping individuals in need, i.e. widows, single moms and others who just need a helping hand. These projects may be something that can be completed in a short amount of time by one individual or may be a larger project that a small group could handle in one day or less, or maybe even a large project that we could work together on as a church once a year. This ministry will also coordinate 3 or 4 different church-wide efforts to come alongside of a local non-profit organization to help them with their current needs, such as the Salvation Army, Women’s Care Center, Homeless Shelters, and others that may be brought to our attention throughout the year. So, if you have the gift of “Helps” or “Craftsmanship” or just some time to spend helping to make another’s life a little easier, please sign up for this new and exciting ministry opportunity.
Our Impact Ministry is designed to help those in need in the community and within our church family. Continue to submit your requests for those you know that need a helping hand with projects they are unable to do themselves. Impact Ministry cards are available at the Welcome Center and on the table under the Impact Board.
The Clothesline Ministry was created to help the children of LaPorte schools by providing clothing and school supplies. Teachers complete a "tag", naming items needed and sizes for children in their class. The tags will be placed on the Impact Ministry bulletin board. If you would like to help, please take the tag, purchase the needed item and return the bag (with the tag attached) to the church. Julie Feikes will distribute the items.
