K- 5 Bible Memory Program
To build a foundation for Christian living, to equip children for difficult situations, and to enable children to make wise decisions, we have this memory program in which children will have the opportunity to learn forty-five important verses. Thirteen verses will be learned in Kindergarten and First Grade, sixteen verses will be learned in second and third grade, and sixteen sets of one to three verses will be learned in fourth and fifth grade.
We hope to stress not only remote memorization, but the meaning of the verse and the importance of it in our Christian lives. The program is strictly voluntary, but we hope that parents will see the importance of instilling Biblical truths into their children at this crucial time in their development. Children who decide to work on this program will look at the link on our website for their set of verses, and they’ll recite their verses to a volunteer who will record their progress and check for meaning. Sets of verses on key rings are also available upon request in Sunday School.
